Time for an upgrade?

Use our speed test to determine your upstream and downstream connection speeds. This useful tool will give you an accurate reading and allow you gauge where it's time for an upgrade.  The test takes about 20 seconds to complete.

This speed test requires Flash and JavaScript.

To get the most accurate results, please ensure no other Internet connectivity takes place during the test.  This includes any other computers or devices connected to the same local area network / router.  Some applications can interfere with the speed test and should be temporarily disabled for best results.  These include email clients, instant messaging or chat programs, operating system updates etc.  Internet streaming (videos and radio for example) should also be avoided during the test.

How does the speed test work?
The speed test downloads a file from the server and measures how long your connection takes to download it.

How accurate is the speed test?

The speed test is very accurate, however there are several factors that can affect the test.  The speed checker measures the speed at the time of the test so if your network is running slow at that time then the test will report a slower speed.  This does not necessarily mean that your Internet connection is slow at the other times.
